10 Reasons You Don't Want A Girl Like Me

I am not saying you want to fall in love with me, but if that were the case, would you be willing to put up with the fact that I am not perfect? I am my toughest judge; possibly my worst. If you're like me, maybe you do want to find some good in everything. Here are 10 reasons you don't want to fall in love with a girl like me.

1. I've already planned my future.

I know what I want and when I want it. I have things in mind that I know I need to achieve what I want. I will not allow anyone to get in the way of me achieving the things I want. Not even the “love of my life”. Therefore, I will make sure you stay on top of your goals and you achieve them, because I know how much wanting something can impact you.

2. I'm loud.

I laugh loud. I talk loud. I argue loud. I'm just loud. My thoughts are loud and I am outspoken. Being told to keep my voice down enrages me. I will always speak up for you, for us. Don't doubt the power of my voice.

3. Sometimes I get way too excited about things.

I try to get excited about nearly everything. I enjoy the small things and I will show my excitement. I can't control it. If you tell me we are getting wings on Thursday, I will get excited. If you tell me you got the promotion, I will get excited. I will be annoying #1 supporter, always.

4. I keep it real.

I will always tell you how I feel. I will want you to know you're loved every day and if you do something wrong, I will want to tell you. I will tell you the good and the bad. You will always find honesty inside of me.

5. I change my mind about simple things a lot.

I enjoy change to an extent. I want to continue to try and experience new things. I am willing to give change a chance and I can accommodate my life to certain things if it's for the best.

6. I am big on family.

I love meeting family and I love introducing people to my family. The thing is, in the past, I am the girl that your mom will still ask about and your grandma will still comment on my pictures on Facebook. I will leave and imprint just like you will leave an imprint on my family.

7. I am different.

I will not try and become something I am not. I accept the person I am and I have confidence in that. I do not want to be classified under a group of people. I want to be my own person. I will not change the way I am and with that, I will leave my mark on everything I can.

8. I love too hard.

If I love you, I will not let myself forget you. I am a fighter and I will fight for the things I love. I will fight to keep us going and I will love you the whole way through.

9. My mind does not rest.

I overthink every little thing. Rarely anything is simple to me. I complicate things in my head and try to find a way to portray what I am thinking. I enjoy analyzing people, their actions, their next move, everything about them. I will evaluate you. I will take a journey along your body. Memorize every part. I will analyze your mind, wanting to know more and having an understanding of the person you are.

10. I will always look for the good.

If things get tough and there seems to be nothing good left, I will find that good. I believe there is always good in the world and in people. Even if you can't see it, it is there, the good is there. I will always look for the good in everything, and never doubt its existence or its reasoning.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
