Ahhhh, Tinder. Just hearing the word instantly brings up thoughts of casual sex, swiping left or right, and the awkwardness that comes with finding people you know in real life and deciding whether or not to swipe right as a joke. Sometimes though, when you meet up with someone, things don't go like you thought they would.

I asked people in my school's class page to submit their Tinder experiences, anonymously of course, to see just how bad those encounters can be. Let's just say, I'm honestly not surprised with the responses I got.

1. "I met up with a guy who I'd hung out with before among friends. Despite what he said in our conversation to convince me to meet up with him, he didn't actually remember me. Super uncomfortable."

2. "This guy wouldn’t stop asking me for nudes, and then come to find out, this same guy is in one of my classes and we are in a group projects together."

3. "I matched with a guy who ghosted me, and now he’s been in at least one of my classes every semester since."

4. "Once I was talking to this guy on tinder and we talked for about a week and snap chatted regularly, so we decided to meet up."

"First of all, I got there and his car was complete trash and I was supposed to get in this thing. Second, he told me that he worked out everyday, and looking at his face you would have guessed that. But, he was this little scrawny kid that could maybe barely lift a pencil. So I decided, "Okay, I’ll give this a chance." So I got in his car and we started driving around talking a little.

Well I felt super awkward because this guy couldn’t hold a conversation at all. Then we parked somewhere, we had plans to go to the movie in an hour, to talk and he kept asking if I wanted to go in the back seat to cuddle. I kept saying "nah," or making up excuses. Also during this time, I was texting about three of my friends to call me and pretend to be my parents to get me to come home. Finally, one of them did and they weren’t even saying the right stuff on the phone but I was like “what? You’re coming home early?!”

Then I told him he had to drive me back to my car and he was like, "What about the movie?" I just told him that we’ll reschedule. So, I tried to get out of the car and the doors were all locked. He wouldn’t unlock the doors till I gave him a goodbye kiss. Worst tinder date ever!"

5. "This one guy started off the conversation by asking if I liked cats. I do, but not necessarily with the same obsession he did. He kept on redirecting the conversation back to cats and at one point even asked me to call him cat daddy."

6. "One time, I matched with a guy on Tinder. That same night, I went over to my friend's for dinner when he said that someone else was coming."

"I was in the kitchen getting my food, and the guy I had just matched with walked into the room with me. He introduced himself and he was nice, but it was still super uncomfortable."

7. "I went on a date with this guy I met on Tinder and it was extremely awkward."

"He was really nerdy and he legit liked me even though we only talked for 2 hours. That night I friend zoned him, which he wasn't too happy about. About a month later, he texted me out of the blue just to tell me he was sad that I friend-zoned him. Like dude, we texted for a few days and talked in person for like 2 hours. Chill out. Also, he didn't even pay for my ice cream."

8. "I met a guy from Tinder this summer and curved him real hard. Then, I ran into him at Walmart buying condoms a couple of weeks ago."

9. "I was waiting at the bus stop when I could feel someone staring at me, so I looked around and saw this guy basically burning holes into me with his eyes."

It took me a second, but I realized it was a guy I matched with on Tinder who I completely ignored the multiple times he had messaged me."

10. "Keep in mind: This is the first date and the first thing he said to me once we sat down. He asked me if I believed in reincarnation."

"Then, he told me he thought he could have been a serial killer in a past life. Staring blankly at him, he winked at me and then asked, "What do you think you will be in your next life?" Feeling uncomfortable and trying to find a route to the bathroom, I said "A dog, I guess." He then told me that he thinks that people who were dogs ended up being faithful and nurturing, and if I could see myself being a nurturing mother for our future children. I left."

11. "I got a match once. That was weird."

So if you're going to meet up with someone from Tinder, it's probably best to make sure you know what you're getting yourself into.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
