Long Distance relationships are the best and the worst. They allow two people to build the most amazing relationship together while also being able to build themselves apart and have something to share with one another. However, they also are the absolute worst when the weeks and even months pass that you can’t see one another.

So, I’ve compiled a list of 11 songs you need to listen to when you’re feeling your long-distance relationship blues kicking in.

1. Stay - Rihanna ft. Mikky Ekko

An instant classic to start off the list, the entire vibe of the hit song can be found in the title, "Stay." Through the course of the song, all Rihanna does is beg her lover to stay. Whether it be through heartbreak or longing, the message is clear, she doesn't want to be alone without him. This song helps for dramatic car rides when you are driving away from your significant other.

2. Dusk Till Dawn - ZAYN ft. Sia

I chose this particular song in reference to the short visits long-distance relationships get. Sometimes, you only truly get that one night together before one has to leave. This song embraces those moments together in that night, just enjoying one another's company and assuring each other that everything is okay.

3. Love Me Now - John Legend

This song is an ode to the uncertainty of when you will see each other next. It talks about spending every second together and not letting any slip by because you don't know what will happen when your gone.

4. Photograph - Ed Sheeran

While this insanely popular Ed Sheeran song can truly be about any relationship, it goes without saying that long-distance relationships truly use pictures to commemorate times together. Any photos from their most recent weekend together help the other get through to the next time they get to see each other.

5. Talking to the Moon - Bruno Mars

The majority of this song does address that Bruno has recently lost his girlfriend, but in the same way I think many people in long-distance relationships spend a good amount of time looking out their window thinking about their significant other wishing they could be with them at that moment. I think the moon really fits something that both people can have at the same time, that's exactly the same for them.

6. Tee Shirt - Birdy

Birdy spends this song reminiscing over the tee shirt her boyfriend wears in the morning. In relationships, articles of clothing are so fun to steal, but serve such an amazing purpose. The idea of being able to have something of the others when they aren't there with you is comforting. This song gives those pieces of clothing a little more meaning.

7. Right Now - One Direction

A not as popular song by one of the biggest boybands to walk this earth, but still a good one. The song talks about how everything around them is so incredibly new and scary, and they wish that their loved one was there to be with them and comfort them. The song can really pull into the college experience and how everything is so new as they adjust to this new life, but how they wish they had their significant other there with them to experience it all.

8. Please Don't Go - Joel Adams

Carrying a similar theme to Rihanna's "Stay," Adams urges his significant other to stay with him. He wants them to come home to him and never leave again. He hates them being apart from him. Like most long-distance relationships, leaving is the worst part because you know how long it'll be until you see each other next.

9. Middle of the Night - The Vamps

While definitely categorized as a break up song, this electronic sounding song by The Vamps still carries the light night feelings some people get. They wake up and feel so upset they can't have the one they care about so much to be with them. And while this has only rattled me once, the song still seems to hold significance to me whenever I'm missing my man.

10. Miss You - Louis Tomlinson

A rather new song, Louis Tomlinson, the former One Direction singer, pinpoints about that one moment of the party where it hits you that the person you want there isn't. College is fun and all, but when you're dancing at a club and everyone is grinding but you, there's this clarifying moment that you just wish they were there. Just as Tomlinson says in the song, you're having a great time, everything is great, but something feels off. I think everyone knows that point of the night where you realize that this was something spent with them.

11. One Call Away - Charlie Puth

Ending with a song literally wrote about long distance relationships. Charlie Puth confirmed it was in fact intended to be an anthem for all long distance relationships. It's a way to remember that even though the person you care so much about is so far away, in the end, they are only one call away on your phone.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
