One of the downsides of being single of sometimes take is often lusting for what you cannot or do not have. Lonely days and nights not having anyone with whom you can have meaningful conversations can be brutal. Or, maybe you are simply lacking purely physical and non-emotional activities in your life. Sometimes, we wonder if we how we're feeling is a bit thirsty or not. So, just to clear it up, here are some of the signs that you might be thirsty.

1. "I need a man/woman" are words that leave your mouth on the regular

So you pray for one and ask your friends to do the same.

2. Every word that leaves your mouth is suggestive

Sometimes, you don’t even mean to.

3. Your EVERY action is also overly, suggestive

There is no subtlety to your actions. You know what you want, and you are out to get it.

4. It is too embarrassing to admit the number of dating apps on your phone.

What is a dating app?

5. Being overjoyed when you get a match

You probably don’t even like the guy/girl, but sex is now on the table

6. Any bar is your happy place

The bar is the best way to find someone (at least for the night), and you have only one mission: GET LAID. The alcohol exaggerates your thirstiness levels, and either helps you or hinder your judgment you go for anyone.

7. You are always fronting Social Media

Gotta let your potential suitors know what you’ve got going on for ya. Make ‘em thirsty too.

8. The lawn is always trimmed and ready for activity

I am talking every single centimeter of your body is as soft as a baby’s butt and smooth as velvet. Always be prepared to get laid, so the lady bits should always be in good order.

9. Living vicariously through your friends' sex lives

10. Actually wanting to leave your house to see and mingle people

There are more options outside of your room, so you always look and smell good. Then you go outside like “Where the boys/girls at?”

11. You look forward to receiving a dick pic

Unwanted dick pics are annoying, and no girl wants them… until they’re thirsty and men never seem to send them during the thirst trap. So, you scroll through your photos just to see if you missed when while you were deleting them.

12. Anything turns you on

13. Considering removing someone from the friendzone

The person is in the friend zone for a reason, but at the same time, you don’t want cobwebs to grow down there. The thirst will have you making all the wrong decisions in life for all the right reasons. Talk about taking applications to nowheresville!

14. Pining after some you know you just can't have

The worst thing to do is set your eyes on someone else's man or woman and you actually wish to sleep with one of them. This is when you’ve hit the lowest of the low.

15. Accepting that being thirsty is life #StayThirsty

16. Finally admitting that you want a man/woman

This is especially troubling for someone who wants nothing to do with relationships.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
