In case you haven't heard the heartbreaking news, Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan are separating.
The couple announced their mutual decision on April 3 via Tatum's Instagram, and the end of the world seemed to immediately follow.
Crops died. Acne came in full-force. The price of milk quadrupled. I'm pretty sure I saw the Four Horsemen, not to be dramatic.
With everything we thought we knew about love seems to be an unraveling lie, we as a public must cling to the other celebrity couples we admire to get us through this apocalypse and remind us that love is actually real.
1. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
From their outrageous beauty to their equally gorgeous daughter Luna to John Legend's incredible voice to Chrissy Teigen's roasting on Twitter, what can't this couple do? They signify power moves only and appear as a match made in Heaven, and I, for one, am just as obsessed with them as they are with each other.
2. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka
The entire Burtka-Harris family is something to look up to. It's so hard to find people who showcase true, genuine adoration and love in a relationship, but, by golly, NPH never fails. From their Halloween costumes to the way they talk about each other, this duo proudly makes this list what it is.
3. Barack and Michelle Obama
This First Family will never be topped. The strain of running the country didn't matter, they stayed fierce in their love and commitment to each other (which is more than we can say for some presidents). They both demonstrated powerful leadership to the nation and the world. These two still love each other like they've only been dating for one month, and that's something we should all really aspire to have.
4. Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds
Not only are they both breathtaking, talented individuals, Blake and Ryan are also probably one of the funniest couples in the limelight. Their love is so playful and lighthearted that you can just tell the honeymoon stage really never ended.
5. Beyoncé and Jay-Z
The road might've been a bumpy one, but it's worth the ride. This royal entourage takes the spotlight at any outing, and Queen Bey herself has taught us all a ton of lessons about love, both the good and the bad — albums of them.
We might be losing Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan after nine years of marriage, but we will be okay. We might not be involved in this marriage, but we are quite the invested group. However, if they believe this is the best decision for the both of them, that's their business and right. For now, we will cling to others who walk the red carpet and silently cry while watching Step Up.
