17 Differences Between Him Being Your Boyfriend And Your Best Friend

It always seems that when a little girl grows up she sees in fairy tales or movies that people always fall in love with their best friend. At a young age it seems impossible for some yucky boy to be your best friend, but one day a special person will enter your life and you will wonder why they didn't get there sooner. Falling in love with your best friend creates a relationship that can't be replaced and a bond that no one else will understand. With that one special person you will be able to conquer life. So here are a few ways you know that he is more than just your boyfriend:

1. You can be open with each other about your insecurities.

Even though you have your insecurities, he loves every part of you.

2. Y’all do at least one thing a day to purposefully annoy each other.

You might always want them to be happy, but sometimes getting on their nerves gives you a sense of satisfaction…

3. When you are in your worst mood, they allow you to take it out on them.

Sometimes on your worst days all you need to do is let is all out and take a load off your shoulders, and the only way to do that is to let it out on your man. He knows not to take anything you say personally when you’re being hormonal.

When you are with his family, you feel like you belong

4. Hanging out with his family doesn’t give you any stress or anxiety, it is something you look forward to when going to his home.

Whenever you are there you feel like you belong, and genuinely care about his family.

5. The two of you know that just being together in silence isn’t a bad thing.

Being able to just enjoy the company of each other and knowing just because nothing is being said does not mean you and him have run out of things to talk about.

6. Going out isn’t what y’all need to have a good time.

Sometimes the best moments that y’all make together are the ones spent relaxing and being completely content with just being with each other. Those are the moments when you realize how much you love your best friend.

7. You know that not spending every waking hour together isn’t the end of the world.

Being able to have your own independence and not always having to rely on each other for everything makes for a good solid relationship. Just because you don’t need him for everything does not mean you don’t need him.

8. Being brutally honest because all you want is what’s best for each other.

There are going to be times when your boy is going to need some tough love, and the only person who can do that is you, and you do it all with love.

9. Not giving a crap what you look like around each other...

You both know by now the two of you love the way each other looks even when you went a few too many days without washing your hair.

10. ...BUT when you both dress up, you look like the ultimate power couple.

When you do actually take the time to go out and dress up a crowd will stop what they are doing to see how much they wish they were you.

11. You can get in an argument and talk about it right after.

By now you both know there is no point in staying mad over a little tiff that will mean nothing in 30 minutes.

12. Throwing shade at each other has turned into a competition.

You know all of his little kinks and he knows yours, so sometimes y’all enjoy poking a little fun at those flaws. No hard feelings there!

13. Talking about the plans you have for your future is always a great conversation.

Thinking about the dreams y’all are creating makes you look forward to all that you and he will achieve.

14. Out-eating him without feeling any shame.

Sometimes a girls gotta eat and he is going to like whether he wants to or not.

15. Knowing the only thing getting you through the day is knowing you get to see each other.

Sometimes all you need at the end of a long day is to go to your person. He always gets you; being able to read how the other is feeling even when they try and hide it. By this point, there is no hiding your emotions. Whether you are sad, mad, happy, or just don’t want to deal with people your man knows just how to handle all your emotions.

16. Being able to read each other even when they are trying to hide it.

By this point there is no hiding your emotions. Whether you are sad, mad, happy, or just don’t want to deal with people your man knows just how to handle all your emotions.

17. And knowing that no matter where life takes you, all that matter is they are your person.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
