A recent article by the New York Post reveals that singles are connecting over chicken parmesan. Not just because it's obviously one of the best food items anyone could possibly order (yes, it would be my last meal of choice), but also because they're even calling it an aphrodisiac.

In other words, singles are both horny for chicken parm and horny because of chicken parm (especially in New York City).

But even if you haven't experienced this chicken parm-induced horniness, imagining the possibility really makes sense. I mean, have you SEEN a cheese-pull food porn video? Those are enough to make anyone verrrry hungry — or thirsty.

The cheesy goodness that is a piece of breaded chicken topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella immediately makes your mouth and stomach sing with happiness. So, naturally, if you're on a date where the conversation is flowing, the person across from you is attractive, and the food is soothing your soul, then... well, you do the math.

According to my calculations, though, that's the exact recipe for a good night.

Typically when you think of aphrodisiacs, you probably think chocolate or oysters, but make no mistake about it, this little time of year you kids like to call "cuffing season" is actually "chicken parm season."

That's at least what 25-year-old Jonny Adler — a Jersey City single working for a catering startup — calls it. In his interview with the New York Post, he shared that this so-called "parm season," "starts in October or November, it's big during the holidays, and it tapers around May."

Like I said, I GET IT. It's delicious, comforting, and I might go as far as to say it's even a bonding experience to eat chicken parm with someone.

Needless to say, if you're looking to add a little spice to your cuffing season date nights, consider ordering some chicken parm for the table.
