If you're a girl and have access to Netflix, you know that it's sometimes impossible not to fall in love with the characters in the shows. They're already way too out of the realistic realm of hotness, then throw in some swoony heroic moves and you're absolutely sunk within a few episodes. It's hard to remember that these fictional people don't actually exist, so it's even harder to remember that we can't raise our expectations to the same fictional level. The characters below are just a few that will raise the bar for future relationships too high.

1. Jim Halpert (The Office)

Between the quirky puns and hilarious pranks, it's hard to keep the feels at bay. He's just too much of a likable guy to ignore. The fact that he literally waits years for Pam to realize they should be together and treats her like a queen makes you want to find the same kind of guy.

2. Sam Winchester (Supernatural)

Sam has his puppy dog face and good guy act down to a tee. You can always trust him to do the right thing no matter what and he's always looking out for his brother. Adorable.

3. Jon Snow (Game of Thrones)

You really can't beat Jon Snow. He's one of the few surviving characters that's been there since the beginning and is probably the nicest guy there is. One look and you're falling as hard as Ygritte did.

4. Finn Hudson (Glee)

Finn Hudson was a crush no one could escape. With the classic popular jock transformation into an actual good human being, there was no point trying to avoid it.

The late Cory Monteith was and always will be a favorite character from the show.

5. Lucas Scott (One Tree Hill)

Hair and dimples. That's it. You're done for.

6. Scott McCall (Teen Wolf)

Werewolves are already insanely cool, but Scott takes alpha to the next level. He actually loves his mom and really is a nice guy. His impressive muscles don't hurt either.

7. Stefan Salvatore (Vampire Diaries)

Vampires aren't far behind on the hotness scale. Stefan has a hero complex that is totally swoon-worthy. He'll always put others first and his emotional side will actually kill you.

8. Dean Winchester (Supernatural)

Dean is the polar opposite of his brother, Sam. He has a bad boy persona but cares enough about his brother to ditch it sometimes. Plus he's really good at kicking down doors and looking great while doing it.

9. Mark Sloan (Grey's Anatomy)

Mark ripped out everyone's heart when he didn't make it. He and Lexi were one of the favorite couples on the show but they sadly left everyone in tears.

We miss you, McSteamy.

10. Damon Salvatore (Vampire Diaries)

You haven't seen the prettiest pair of eyes until you've seen Damon Salvatore. Sure he kills a bunch of people in the first couple seasons, but his humanity eventually turns itself around. You'd almost rather take a stake to the heart instead of hearing his declarations of love because they'll take your expectations to an unreachable level.

RIP any chance of lowering the bar these guys set for my dating life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
