Don't Give Him Boyfriend Privileges If He's Not Your Boyfriend

Remember, he doesn't like you that much if he hasn't made you his girl.

He's your friend, homie, cuddle buddy, and motivator... but he's not your boyfriend. He's someone you enjoy spending time with, but he is just your friend. It's been months, and he hasn't made you his girlfriend. You two act like you're together, and this leaves you wondering where his head is really at. With no commitment he's single, meaning he can do whatever with whoever and still keep you around because he gives off this illusion that the two of you will one day be more than just friends. Stop giving your "friend" things that his title in your life doesn't entail. Until he gives you what you want, a commitment, do these five things.

1. Date other guys.

Yes, you like him a lot, and I'm sure he likes you too, but he doesn't like you that much if he hasn't made you his girl. Don't cut all guys off to wait for him to figure out if he wants to be with you or not. Continue to date and talk to other guys, you never know you could be blowing off a guy who's willing to commit to a guy who never will.

2. Cut off sex for a while.

He shouldn't be getting boyfriend/husband privileges if he is just a friend. We don't have sex with our friends. Having sex with someone who doesn't have the same feelings as you can get messy. Let him know that you want to be more than just sex; you want to be in a relationship, and until he gives you that commitment, he shouldn't be getting your goodies. And always remember a man doesn't have to have feelings for you to want to have sex with you.

3. Stop making this unworthy man a priority.

If you really like someone, it's okay to make them a priority, but after months of dealing with someone with no commitment, why continue to do so? If you have been dealing with him for months, he knows how much you like him, he knows you want to be with him, and he knows that you will do anything for him. If he can't step up and make you his girl, put that energy and time into someone/something else.

4. Stop wasting your time.

You are too old to be wasting time talking to someone when you know it's not going anywhere. That is stupid. If you're going to put your time and energy into someone, make sure it's someone you can see yourself within 5 or 10 years, not someone temporary. If he doesn't want a relationship after months of dealing with you, then you are wasting your time. Leave him alone, girl.

5. Ask him if he wants to be with you.

Instead of guessing whether or not he wants to be with you, just ask. You will never know where his head is at if you don't sit down and talk about it. Here are a few tips on how to have the "what are we" conversation.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
