Readers, take note. Have any of you come across a douchebag? They know who they are, for they are infamous with cliché pick up lines as if they picked up a collection of pick up lines book in the library and memorized it from front to back, hoping to just pick up any available girl.

They are those dudes who post an overwhelming amount of shirtless pictures on Instagram, sends you unsolicited pics via Snapchat, and direct messages a random hello on Facebook messenger, hoping to "get to know you better."

In fact, these douchebags make up the majority of the male population on earth.

Every nice guy turns out to be a faker, just to score a girl to hook up with, and they wouldn't even care if they hurt those girls because of their ingenuity. Every polite guy just wants an easier way into your pants. And if they face rejection, they immediately do an about face and vanish right in front of you just to look elsewhere to go after the "easy" girls that love to put out.

They are the guys that seem good to be true, indulge in deep conversations with you, get your number right away, and seem deeply involved in who you are and your life goals right off the bat. They are the guys that leave you hanging in the dark and come back once you're happy with your life. They are the guys that dump you just because they find a better option.

They are the guys who view the dating life a never-ending game to win the better "trophy girl."

But what these boys do not understand is that girls are not objects; they cannot be juggled around and thrown off to the side just because they found someone "better." These girls that were thrown off to the side are those who had their hearts open and their souls bared for the whole world to see. Instead, as time passes, they refuse again to bear their hearts open for the good-natured guys who seem to be the douchebags that had betrayed her back in time.

Instead of opening her arms wide for them to enter her life, she refuses to let them in, putting up walls and being impossible to crack because she can't stand to lose her sanity another time.

Dear douchebags, you guys have made the world a better place.

You taught those girls to shield their hearts instead of putting it out there. You taught those girls to be wary of surroundings, and not to trust those that smile and act loving to them.

You taught those girls to love themselves first and put others next. You taught those girls how to meet the right guy, even though they might not know that they have met them themselves.

For those girls that got fooled by you guys, they are one step closer to finding the right guy that will finally treat her right.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
