I Got The Guy Who Isn't A Relationship Type—Here's How I Did It

Us girls have had out fair share of boys who we have fallen for who aren't looking to settle down in a relationship. They hit you up, act like they're really into you and then hit you with the "Oh, I'm not looking for a girlfriend." Or, "I don't want a relationship." I've had quite a few of those experiences, until one day I changed up my game of how I said things and how I acted when I met another guy who definitely isn't known for having relationships. This person happens to be my boyfriend now.

Here's 8 tips of advice on how to get that boy head over heels for you:

1. Make him know how much you're worth

Really show him that you're one of a kind. Don't give in as much, kind of shove him in the back to show him that you are your own person and won't wait around or always make time for him.

2. Don't put out

It's known and stereotypical that guys this age are pretty much only looking for hookups. Yes, he may have been sweet-talking you all week, but if you really want to keep him around for a while, don't put out right away. Show him that you want more than just a hookup.

3. Don't be afraid to make the first move

Really... don't be afraid. It shows him that you're interested and not always just waiting around for him to contact you. I made the first move on my current boyfriend and we're still going strong!

4. Ask to go on dates

If he's always inviting you over to his house at a late hour to "Netflix and Chill," that isn't a very good sign. Ask him to grab some ice cream or have dinner some night. Do something that's fun for the both of you to peak his interest.

5. Make him wait

Don't sit around and wait for him all day. He's a person just like us, so he's probably busy. Give him some space, if you see he's texted you, don't respond right away. Show him that you have other things to do than wait for his text/call.

6. Flirt!

You obviously got to flirt with him to make him know you're interested in him! Guys can be pretty oblivious. Tell him the things you really like about him.

7. Look the best you can

Try to get extra glam on the days/nights that you see each other. Make him want to see you more! You want them to notice how great you're looking and feeling that night.

8. Tell him that you're into him

Don't wait for him to tell you, tell him first if you really like him. Chances are if you tried you're best in getting him to like you and he kept coming back to hang out, chances are he's into you too! Now go get that boy and show him who's in order!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
