Ever dated or want to date someone out of your race, culture, or religion? Do you want to explore what is out there in the world? Well, interracial relationships might be the fit for you. In the past, biracial relationships weren't accepted or popular in the United States due to racial discrimination and laws.

Now in modern times, there are many young couples getting married and having biracial children. It is great to see that in modern day things are gradually changing.

Ever wondered the benefits of being in an interracial relationship? Well, here are a couple of benefits of dating someone out of your race, culture, or religion.

1. Learning a new language

In an interracial relationship, it is possible that your significant other's family is from another country where he/she knows another language. If you are really dedicated and motivated to more about their culture, you can possibly learn their native language by tutoring, hearing conversations, and practice. Putting the imitative into trying to learn your beloved one's language shows that you care and are willing to go the extra milestone for them.

2. Trying new foods/meals

Everyone loves food and it's always great to try something new! When you are in an interracial relationship and you go to your beloved one's home there is a cooked meal you may have never tried before. You get to taste different deserts, meals, vegetables, and beverages you may have never thought of. You get to learn the origins of how the meal is prepared, how to make it, and when is it usually made or celebrated for. You start to become part of the family.

3. Traveling

There is nothing better than traveling across the world with someone you love! Being able to travel together to a place or country you have never been before, is always an adventure! Traveling with your beloved one is good for the soul and allows you during that time to learn the customs and cultures people have. Your perspective on life can change for the better and you get to see where your beloved one is from and know their roots. It's always important to know where you came from.

4. Celebrating different holidays together

Your significant other may or may not celebrate the same holidays as you, so you get to know more the history of the event and maybe wear different outfit apparel if necessary. The situation can also be that you and your beloved one celebrate the same holidays together but do it in a different way. There can be a change in the variety of food, music, gifts, and traditions etc.

5. Music and dancing

Once in awhile, you got to get on the dance floor! You can learn new moves and music that will get your feet moving and grooving! It's never too late to brush up on some dance moves and get hip into the culture.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
