7 Reasons I Love To Treat My Man Like A 'True Lady'

Because every guy deserves to be treated like he's someone's best girl.

Boyfriends are pretty cool and I like mine a lot.

But I don't treat my boyfriend like he's my boyfriend. Actually I treat him like he's the "girl" in the relationship. And no, I don't mean in some weird kinky way. I mean that there are a lot of things that society has decided only boyfriends do for their girlfriends but I'm here to say that society is wrong.

Here's a list of ways of how I treat my boyfriend..... like he's my girlfriend.

1. Cuddling

Now I don’t know about everyone, but my boyfriend LOVES to cuddle. But more specifically he loves to cuddle in the “girl” position. If he’s not the little spoon then he’s lying on my chest with my arm wrapped around his shoulders. Or he’s got his head in my lap or he’s pouting because I don’t want to cuddle because he’s a million degrees.

2. Head Scratches

I’m convinced he was a cat in his past life. This boy will physically grab my hand and put it in his hair. It doesn’t matter if he’s driving or cuddling or watching TV or basically doing anything. Aren’t I supposed to be the one getting my hair stroked?! Why isn’t that a thing?!

3. Cute Texts

Want to make your boyfriend happy? Send him a cute “Hey I can’t want to see you later and I like you a lot” text when you know he’s having a stressful day. I did this one and he told me later that it made his day.

4. Compliments

Guys have a self esteem too and who doesn’t love compliments? Point made.

5. Random Gifts

As lame as this sounds, I buy my boyfriend a lot of socks. They’re fun socks don’t get me wrong but they’re socks. But he loves them and has like 8 pairs from me that are pretty much the only socks he’ll wear. Whenever he buys me flowers or Starbucks, I always get so happy. It’s nice to return the favor even if it’s with socks.

6. Planning the Date

Planning a date is stressful. So with that in mind, I like to take one for the team occasionally and tell him what we’re going to do on our night out. Not ask, tell. Obviously I would never plan something I didn’t know he would enjoy and it’s nice to take the reins. It takes the pressure off of him and we end up doing something he wouldn’t have thought of.

7. Treat Him like a Lady

We want to be treated like ladies right? Respected, wooed ladies who are also bad asses that don’t need no man. I like to treat my boyfriend the same way. I want him to feel like I’m wooing him just as much as he’s wooing me. So I tell him he’s cute and I push him to be the best bad ass he can be. Exactly like I want him to do for me.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
