Everyone always asks women what they want their wedding day to be like—the dream dress, the dream venue, the dream guy. However, no one ever asks guys about THEIR vision of the big day, so I got curious and asked around.

Admittedly, I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet and honest their answers were.

Here are the confessions of 8 college guys on what their dream wedding looks like:

The next royal wedding

"I'd like my wedding day to be all about my wife. I want it to be as fairy tale-like as possible. It's the one day she can be a princess, and I can be her prince."

A celebration of family and friends

"I want my wedding to be filled with family and friends, but I don't want the wedding to feel like it's more for them and less for me and whoever I marry. Ultimately, the day is about us."

Shout out Dunder Mifflin

"I want my wedding to be just like Jim and Pam's from 'The Office,' that there is so much love that we just embrace the craziness of the moment and be content with whatever happens."

All about us and the future

Giphy

"I want a wedding day that is purely focused on the personal relationship between me and my future wife. It is the one day dedicated to celebrating a unique bond between two people that is hard to find for many. Sure, the details are important, but sharing a lifelong commitment is really what matters."

Intimate and outdoors

"I definitely want to be outside on a lake or have everyone hike up a mountain and change into their wedding clothes on top. I would not want a big group there—only close friends and family, but I have a feeling it will end up being big because I have 14 cousins and many aunts and uncles. Instead of a big party afterwards, I want a few bottles of wine and a perfect sunset."

All about my future wife

"I want my wedding day to be the best/happiest/most perfect day my wife could possibly have because her joy would actually make me the happiest one."

Good music and lots of fun

"I want it to be a day where everyone can just have fun, where I feel comfortable standing up there and everyone is just ready to party. I want it to be smaller and a little bit more laid back with lots of good food and great music."

Like father, like son

"I'm a little mushy, so I do want a big wedding in the mountains in the summer or spring. And I want everyone to black out at my wedding. I think half of my dad's friends had children nine months after my parents wedding."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
