To The Girl Who Has Never Had Her First Kiss, It Won't Feel Any Less Amazing When You Do

In today's society, we have come to a point where everyone assumes that they have had their first kiss and lost their virginity by age sixteen. This is not really an assumption we should be making, because believe it or not, there are a fair amount of people out there who have not done these things.

If you are one of these people, do not feel bad about yourself and do not get discouraged. You shouldn't be comparing yourself to other people. Here is some encouragement to keep your head up in this time of waiting.

Having your first kiss can be so nerve-wracking! You do not know if you will be good at it and you rather die in a hole than be a horrible kisser. You almost feel embarrassed about being in your late teens or early twenties and still have not had your first kiss, but I promise you it is okay! Do not compare yourself to other people your age or your friends. Just because they have already had their first kiss does not mean you need to go up to the next guy you see and smash your lips against his. We all have our own timelines. Let it happen naturally. When you are present in the moment and it just happens, you will be so glad you didn't force it. Just because all your friends have had their first kiss does not mean you need to have yours asap.

When you are out with your friends having a good time, your friends might be pressuring you to talk to the cute guy across the room, or pressuring you to kiss the guy that you have been talking to for the last few days. Do not let them pressure you into doing anything that you do not want to do. Only do what you are comfortable doing, and if you do not want to kiss the dude, then do not do it.

I know you must be frustrated that you have not had your first kiss yet. You probably just want to get it over with. Trust me when I say, everything will happen when it is supposed to. God has a plan for every detail of your life. He will bring you the boy you are supposed to have your first kiss with when the time is right. Do not try to force or rush anything. Let everything happen naturally, it'll all work out.

I know how frustrating it can be, I have been in your shoes. I didn't have my first kiss until I was in college. I desperately wanted to get it over with, but it just happened in the moment and I'm glad I waited for that moment. Was it perfect? Absolutely not. If you think about it, does anyone have a good first kiss story? No. So yours probably will not be perfect either and that is okay. It is a learning experience.

Don't get discouraged, it will happen eventually. Have patience and know that you are not alone. There are tons of girls out there who also have not had their first kiss.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
