There are a million different things different people look for in a relationship or significant other. When asking friends and family members what they value most in the relationships they have with their partners or relationships to be had in the future, most answers related back to the same four things; Partners that are reliable, emotionally supportive, well rounded, and inflict happiness.

When I first look at these responses, it seems like a no-brainer that any person would want these qualities to be present in their romantic relationships, right? Of course, you want a partner who's reliable and supportive and all that jazz. However, the importance of these qualities becomes much clearer when I think of my relationship with the closest thing I have to a boyfriend; Pizza.

Pizza is a reliable meal.

When I'm wanting a delicious meal when I'm starting to get hangry, a good slice of pizza never disappoints. No matter where I order from, what type of crust it's made with, or what toppings are on top of that thick layer of cheese, that slice is guaranteed to sit well in my stomach.

I'm never left guessing on where I stand with my relationship with pizza because I know it'll always be there for me and supply nothing but sensation amongst my taste buds.

Pizza is emotionally supportive.

No matter what level of stress I'm on, pizza is always there to calm me down. With every slice that enters my stomach, I can feel bits and pieces of negativity leave my body. Not to mention, if you request it, delivery drivers will write a joke or draw a funky little picture on the inside of the box! If that isn't a great example of a community looking to boost each other up when feeling down, I don't know what is.

Pizza is well-rounded... No pun intended.

There are SO MANY different types of pizza slices out there. I've eaten pizzas with pineapple, tater tots, taco fixings, cheese curds, fettuccini alfredo, mac and cheese, and even pizzas that have a brownie crust! The possibility for the different styles of pizza are endless as long as the master chef has even the slightest bit of an imagination.

Pizza inflicts happiness in my life.

I can honestly say that every interaction, event, or encounter I've had with pizza in the room, have no memories of negative sorts attached. While yes, there can be disagreements amongst a group over what kind of pizza to order, the pizza itself is able to be flexible enough to have multiple toppings on each half of it. Yes, I love pizza like I will love my future husband. I'm okay with saying that because pizza has never done me wrong or given me a reason to dislike it.

While yes, I do realize one can't have an actual romantic relationship with a slice of pizza, one can look for what they actually need or want in their relationships. So if anyone can love me and support me like pizza can, hit a sister up and we can get to talking.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
