I'll admit it. I was absolutely one of those people that woke up at 5 am, wore a tiara, drank tea, and ate scones while watching Prince Harry wed Meghan Markle. Don't judge me. I know you secretly wish you were up riding in a carriage through the English countryside waving to thousands of adoring subjects.

As time has passed, my obsession with the Royal Wedding has failed to fade. And since we have decades of waiting ahead of us until Prince George (who is my spirit animal) weds a royal of his own, I have taken to watching classic princess movies to fill the void in my heart. Here are my top 10 princess movie recommendations to help overcome the Royal Wedding Hangover!

1. The Princess Diaries

If I could rule over any land, I would chose Genovia. I mean, come on, you can't beat the royal lineage of Queen Clarisse Renaldi and Princess Mia Thermopolis. Plus, this quote is legendary.

2. The Princess Bride

Leaving this classic movie off the list? INCONCEIVABLE!

3. A Cinderella Story

Okay, while technically no royal crowning is involved in this movie, there is a very attractive guy, an evil step-mother, and two bratty step-sisters. Plus, this response is iconic so it definitely counts and you should definitely watch it.

4. Ever After

A woman with a witty tongue who cares about the common people and gets to wear an outfit like this? This is the type of princess I signed up in my dreams to be!

5. The Prince and Me

Okay, this movie is #goals. Forget making the Dean's List at college, I want to meet a gorgeous Danish prince who falls madly in love with me but patiently waits for me to finish college before putting a royal ring on it. Are there any princes in the business school that I'm unaware of? Because I happen to know someone who would make the PERFECT princess for your kingdom...

6. Ella Enchanted

First off, Anne Hathaway is pretty much a queen for how many royal films she slays. Secondly, Prince Char in Ella Enchanted is the reason I have lost countless hours re-watching this movie. Lastly, I will never get over the wedding dance scene for as long as my dream of being a princess is alive and well. (Which means forever)

7. Roman Holiday

I absolutely adore Audrey Hepburn and don't need a movie to tell me that she's a princess. But the fact that she plays a rebellious royal in Roman Holiday just makes her that much better.

8. Enchanted

The perfect movie for when you wish the classic characters you grew up with could come to life! Also, getting to stare at Patrick Dempsey for two hours never hurts.

9. Princess Protection Program

This movie serves the dual purpose of fulfilling your princess cravings while satisfying your yearning for Disney's glory days.

10. Cinderella

Because this list wouldn't be complete without the OG, the ever beautiful Cinderella. I'm still waiting for my fairy godmother to show up and "bibbidi-boppidi-boo" me into becoming Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
