Well, you did it. You found someone who you are fond of and it is safe to say they are fond of you too. I know lots of people want to do all that they can to make their girl feel like the only girl in the world. Actions, gifts, anything to show that they are always thinking of them. If you follow the list, they may start to believe you.
1. Hand kisses
I know this is super mushy-gushy, but this stuff is what really sets you apart from others. Hand kisses are what you see out of black-and-white movies or the stories that your grandparents tell you. This action proves that chivalry is not dead.
2. Hugs from behind
These are the ones that come by surprise. The good surprises that show you that you are always there for them. Whether its a slow caress of comfort or a tight hug to show that they are proud of them, either way they are always winners.
3. "Thinking of you" messages
Those good morning texts go a long way. During your busy schedule at work and at school, it's always nice to get a text saying how much you are appreciated.
4. Sending funny pictures to one another
Life gets stressful and sometimes, you just need a good laugh. Having a significant other that knows when to make you laugh just shows that they want to help in any way they can.
5. Unexpected acts of kindness
You often hear of random acts of kindness given to strangers. However, having random acts of kindness to a significant other can just mean that you think of them at random moments and want to do something great for them. So if you randomly get her favorite Starbucks drink on the way to see her because you want to, that's something that she will never see coming and will completely gush over it.
6. Supportive encouragement
Being a college student, or any sort of student will have their stressful moments full of doubt, fear, and uncertainty. When a significant other takes the time to build you up and saying that you are capable and can do this, it's encouraging. Got a new job? They will always be proud of you. Words of encouragement go a long way.
7. Attending every performance/sports game you are a part of
You know you have a supportive significant other when they go to every sports game you are apart of. Whether you are on the bench or not. They will sit in the best seat in the house to see you sing, dance, act, or whatever it is you do on stage. They may travel hours for a tournament to see you play. It's the thought and the gesture of being there and being proud of what you do that makes you feel something special.
8. Calling her beautiful and other sorts of adjectives to make her feel great
I know it's probably a given but it's worth being said. Words such as gorgeous, stunning, pretty, breathtaking, all of those words will make a girl feel beautiful and have her standing there feeling like a million bucks.
9. Holding her face during a kiss
Have you ever seen in the movies when the guy looks deep into the woman's eyes and and grabs her face before leaning in a kissing her. It's just a heart melting as it is on the big screen when you experience it in real life. Like seriously.
10. Taking an interest in what she likes
If she loves musical theater and you don't, making an effort to take an interest will go a long way. It will make her feel like her interests go noticed and that you want to try to learn more about it. You don't have to go all in but a little goes a long way.
11. Embrace who she is
No one is perfect. You learn that pretty early on. So is your S.O. Don't have perfect expectations because they will never be fulfilled. But instead of trying to change them, accept them for who they are, flaws and all.
This isn't the key to a perfect relationship, but they are some tips to make your girl feel like wanted and loved. Overall, treat her right. She may be a princess in your eyes but you have to make her believe it.
