For any girl that wants a relationship and not just to play games finding out that you're just his side chick that can be a little hard. You may be angry or sad but before you catch feels that best thing to do is to find out if you really are just his side or his main. He may seem sweet, amazing, almost too perfect.
Always remember what mama told us, ladies -- if it seems too good to be true it isn’t the real deal.
From personal experience, college is the worst place in the world to date. Most guys just want a college girlfriend; by that I mean they just want someone to kick it with, so they don’t have to jump bed to bed.
They want a girl that won’t be cheating on them. Now by no means am I saying every guy is like this, but they do exist. Even if it was not what you intended, it will happen at least once.
I’m not pointing fingers, but guys are the world’s worst at having side chicks and then having the main back home. Here are six ways to know if you are only his side chick:
1. He won’t add you back on social media.
Social media has become a part of our society today; it is how we connect with people. It gives a glimpse into our lives. So when he refuses to add you back and/or if it is locked up tighter than a jar of cheese dip, that is a bad sign.
2. He doesn’t tag or post about you.
It may not happen the first day, but after a few months of going out, it is pretty common to even just post a picture together (results depend) or at least tag you in a cute meme.
3. When he goes home, it is almost as if he has blocked your number.
This is usually the tell-tell sign that he is hiding something. I don't mean that he texts you back occasionally because he is helping his family. I mean that it is almost as if he has to sneak to the bathroom to shoot you a secret text.
4. When he talks about his past, you feel as if he is leaving something out.
We all have our secrets, but there are just some late nights when you really pour your heart out and expect the same back. But when stories do not add up, it makes me question things.
5. Some phone calls he will not answer in front of you.
Privacy and trust in a relationship are key, but sometimes the situation just doesn't seem right -- the same number keeps popping up and they make a lame excuse before ducking out.
6. Trust your gut.
Most importantly, if it doesn't feel right, then you most likely are right. I was always told to trust my gut feeling before my heart.
