All the single ladies, all the single ladies!

Are all the single ladies on dating apps? It's a question I seriously wondered about. I can't say it kept me up at night, but I gave it a lot of thought. I wondered if all my fellow single gals had the same dating app experience I had.

So I surveyed 15 single girls in their 20s about dating apps. Here's what I found out.

74% of the girls I surveyed said they'd be single for more than a year.

I've only been single for six months, but before my previous relationship, it had been years since I was in a relationship. So, this was #relatable for me.

74% of the girls I surveyed said they had used a dating app.

Again, #relatable for me. I met my ex on a dating app. Hey, I'll be honest, I'm on one right now. Because honestly, how do you meet guys except for at school or the bar? I have no idea.

26% of the girls I surveyed said they had never used a dating app.

Shout out to these sisters who live their single lives and hope to find a guy in a better, more acceptable way! Dating apps are acceptable, but they're also kind of taboo. I give a lot of props to these sisters out there doing their single thing.

Every girl I surveyed who said they had been on a dating app, admitted to using Tinder.

I definitely expected this answer. I feel like Tinder is the most common and well-known dating app for people in their 20s. A few people mentioned Bumble, another common app, so I also expected that. But I had learned of some apps I had never heard of such as Her, Hinge, and Coffee Meets Bagel.

60% of the girls I surveyed said they had met a guy from a dating app.

I love this! It's hard! Going out to meet someone you've only ever texted or maybe Snapchatted is a really scary thing to do. It's nervewracking. You have literally no idea what they're going to be like in person. I'm glad these many girls are brave enough to do it.

I asked all the girls who used a dating app to share their best dating app moment.

This is the part I was most excited about, so I'm going to share some of my favorite answers.

"When my bio said I liked Harry Potter, so a guy said, 'I want to huffle your puff.' *rolls eyes*"

Girl, I am so sorry. That is one of the most cringey lines I've ever heard.

"Meeting my current crush at a bar on accident! Fate is real."

I love this so much! My motto lately has been, "If it's meant to be, it'll be." And that is definitely what happened here. I'm so happy about this.

"Matching with my ex."

Again, this is #relatable for me. I literally matched with my ex yesterday. This is so uncomfortable but always bound to happen.

Thanks to all my single sisters for sharing their experiences. It's hard being a single girl these days. But funny dating app situations often make up for it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
