Dating is interesting. Whether it's your first relationship or your fifth, there is always a lot of learning that will happen throughout the duration of the relationship. Eventually, both parties will probably develop expectations for their counterpart (if they didn't already have them going into the relationship).

While boys can't read our minds, there are definitely times when us girls wish that they could. There are just so many little gestures that would mean the world to us if they happened naturally. Why is it so hard for boys to just show true thoughtfulness without having to be told to first? Girls are going to thoroughly enjoy the genuine thoughtfulness that their boyfriends show for them; just think, doing these actions will help the boys become more nurturing, and in return, more loveable, while the girls will ultimately feel like they mean something to their boyfriends and feel good. See, it's a win-win for both parties.

Here are 24 small, yet highly valuable, things that girls want their boyfriends to do without having to tell them to.

1. Hold the door open for her

Even if you have to drop her hand and sprint around her to get to that door handle first, do it.

2. Ask her how her day was

3. Tell her that her feelings are valid

4. Send her an "I've been thinking about you" text

It will mean the world.

5. Make eye contact with her

6. Always be truthful

This is key to building a lasting trust between the two of you.

7. Handwrite her a note

So she can keep it forever.

8. Kiss her on the forehead

9. Hold her hand

10. Be sure that your words always align with your actions

There is no bigger turn-off than when a person's actions are completely different from what they claim to be.

11. Take ownership for your actions

Unfortunate events are going to happen; showing her that you acknowledge the course of what happened proves to her that you are responsible and aware of the situation rather than trying to deny it.

12. Ask her how she's doing

13. Apologize when appropriateĀ

14. Be confident

A girl loves a boy who is confident in his actions, not cocky, or oppositely, constantly nervous.

15. Tell her "thank you" for even the smallest things

Girls don't want their efforts to go unnoticed.

16. Take pictures with her

17. Always make sure that you have fresh breath

Always, always, always.

18. Be genuinely interested in her stories

Everyone deserves a thoughtful listener.

19. Cherish the time you do get to spend with one another

Life gets hectic; always be thankful for the time, no matter how long it is, that you get to be with your significant other.

20. Give her flowers

21. Hug her tightly

22. Kiss her passionately

23. Tell her you love her

But only if you mean it.

24. Never, ever leave on bad terms

Of course, mishaps are going to happen, but don't let her go off thinking of terrible thoughts; always make a true effort to fix the problem there in person. If you can't, at least do a thoughtful follow-up later that day rather than letting things stew over the duration of several days.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast ā€œBirthdayā€ on anyoneā€™s birthday. I knew all of the words to ā€œBack In The U.S.S.Rā€ by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. Iā€™m not someone to ā€œfangirlā€ but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
