In case you missed it, Clare Crawley will be getting another shot at love, this time on "The Bachelorette."
Of course, as you might imagine, fans had quite a mix of reactions after the 38-year-old was announced as the season 16 bachelorette on "Good Morning America" this morning. Some people had no idea who she was since she originally appeared on Juan Pablo's season of "The Bachelor" back in 2014, many knew who she was and were upset about the choice, and then others were excited about the surprise!
No matter where you fall though, there seemed to be one thing a lot of people agreed on, and it's that having an older bachelorette will be a breath of fresh air.
Here are 16 tweets that sum up some of Bachelor Nation's support for Clare's next shot at love on ABC.
Casting a 38-year-old woman as the Bachelorette is probably the most realistic thing that whole franchise has ever done #TheBachelorette— Alison Murphy (@ehemmurph) March 2, 2020
I am completely shocked that #TheBachelorette decided to cast a lead in her late 30s, and holy shit am I excited about this FINALLY— Alex Hernandez 🌜🌞 (@heralexandra_) March 2, 2020
Also Juan Pablo’s group of ladies were fantastic and actually entertaining. They might just have an interesting season https://t.co/ImLnrF2ydQ
All of the drama and history aside, I’m excited to have a 38 year old Bachelorette... We complain about babies on the show all the time. Now, the producers gave us what we want. @BacheloretteABC #TheBachelorette— Kelly Bazzle (@KellyBazzle) March 2, 2020
Why is everyone angry about Clare being over 35 as the bachelorette like we’ve all seen what it’s like having the show full of 23 year olds so I think this is a blessing we’re getting someone who is actually mature #TheBachelor #TheBachelorette— anna (@annamarie_t16) February 29, 2020
I'm thrilled for the new season of #TheBachelorette!! Finally back to basics! Let's see some MEN in their 30's and dare I say 40's?? 🤤🙌🙌— Courtney 🍒 (@_cjarvis) March 2, 2020
I don’t think I’ve ever been so excited for a lead! #TheBachelorette— christina finley (@C_finley22) March 2, 2020
It’s a really big deal that ABC has followed an extraordinarily young season filled 23-year-olds who still live with their parents with ~ a 38-year-old woman ~ as #TheBachelorette, and I cannot wait to watch her date some actual grown men— Olivia Messer 💀 (@OliviaMesser) March 2, 2020
I 100% am watching Clare's season because the guys will be actual adults and not children #TheBachelorette— M (@EmEffEff) March 2, 2020
So I’ll admit I’m not Clare’s biggest fan, BUT I am a excited for a lead that is older than 30. #TheBachelorette— ashlee (@ashwhittemore) March 2, 2020
So excited for a shake up with someone that’s not only “ready for love” but old enough to have tried to find it a few times. Also if you don’t remember her raccoon moment, you missed out. #TheBachelorette https://t.co/3Uj5KKVfzf— Izzy Davis (@izzybelledavis) March 2, 2020
surprised at the bachelorette choice, but I loved her from Juan Pablo’s season. she’s older, more mature, and needs to get the bachelor/ette franchise back to romance and not just sex 🤷🏽♀️ #TheBachelorette— chillin dz (@deeluluu) March 2, 2020
To people saying "Clare is irrelevant" need to start RESPECTING who came before, back when the show was GOOD- back in the day when people didn't join the show with the title of "influencer", "content creator", or "indecisive stay at home dog mom". #TheBachelorette— Ashley Rae Grotewold (@ashleygrotewold) March 2, 2020
Y’all @Clare_Crawley is going to be the next #bachelorette , I’m think I’m going to come back to watch her this season 😩👏🏽 she was always one my favorites so I’m happy and rooting for her to find happiness ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ #TheBachelorette— ➰ (@__xPcG) March 2, 2020
