3 Major Reasons To Choose A Micro-Wedding

So, let's just get this straight, I'm not married, not engaged, and probably won't be anytime soon… Unless I can somehow con my current man into a proposal for my graduation, mostly just so we can go Twitter famous like this couple.

At least right now, I can't imagine myself wanting a Wedding With A Capital W.

My personality can be described in two words: family oriented—it's no joke. I can't imagine a day stressing over anything or anyone other than my built-in best friends. With this being said, I'll be throwing the most ravishing micro-wedding for my parents, sister, grandparents, uncle, and two best friends that you ever did see, oh and whoever my fiancé invites.

A micro-wedding is just like any other wedding, just with fewer people, less food, less money, and less stress. The couple will probably invite only a small number of guests, no more than 20 and sometimes as low as 8. With a smaller number of people, couple are free to concentrate on the details.

So here's why you should also consider a micro-wedding:

1. Flexibility

Have you always dreamed of being married in the middle of the rainforest? On the top of a mountain? On a yacht in the Atlantic? With dolphins in the Bahamas? With 10 people, these outlandish ideas suddenly become absolutely feasible. Transportation, accommodations, and even physical space are so much easier to plan with a small guest list.

2. Intimacy

One of the biggest benefits of having a small wedding is the small guest list, and one of the biggest benefits of having a small guest list is that instead of trying to say a passing hello to 150 randos, you will get proper face time with every guest you've invited.

3. Make It Memorable

A small wedding gives you two the opportunity to get your creative juices flowing and make your wedding a reflection of your personalities and relationship. And it's inevitable, with a larger wedding to lose some of the Honeymoon fund to centerpieces and that extra plate for some long-lost cousin's plus one, with a small wedding you can splurge on the honeymoon and not just be another couple that went to Sandals.

All in all, just trust me, making your vows to your partner in life, surrounded only by those you love the most, in an incredible location, is an experience no one will ever forget.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
