To My Single Ladies, Hang In There, God Has Someone Special For You

I sometimes find myself daydreaming about meeting the one.

I usually picture him falling head over heels the moment he sees me. We'd talk for a short moment, and from there, I get my happy ending. It's a sweet picture, but most likely unrealistic.

As someone who's been single their entire life, it's difficult to avert my focus on wanting to be in a relationship. And as someone who is in their early twenties, it's even harder to ignore this desire when I start seeing more and more of my friends' engagement photos on social media.

I often receive the question, "Do you have a boyfriend yet?" from family members and friends. Jokingly, I always answer with, "I have multiple." I'm not sure if this answer has become one of my defense mechanisms, but it does help me avoid further questions such as "Why not?"

I know I'm not the only one who's been asked this question many times before and having to say, "No, not yet." I also know I'm not the only one who feels slightly sad seeing everyone around you getting into a relationship while you remain single. So, if you're someone who is struggling with their singleness, here are some things I want to tell you.

Hang in there because God has someone special stored for you.

If you have been waiting for a godly man for weeks, months, or even years, I urge you to keep waiting. It's easy to let our desires take over, but it's better to wait than to be with a guy who barely meets your standards.

Remember you are a daughter of God, so you should be with someone who will treat you as such. Trust me, there will be fewer heartbreaks when we choose to wait for the man who Christ has planned to bless us with.

Yes, you will have moments where you will hate this season of your life, but this is a time to fall deeper in love with Christ.

It's not easy being content with your singleness all the time and I understand that, but this season of your life is not an unimportant one. This is a time when you can fully focus on strengthening your relationship with Jesus.

We can use this time to get to know more about Jesus and His Word, while also working diligently to bring the knowledge of Him to others. When we use our season of singleness for the glory of God, waiting for a significant other becomes easier.

Work on yourself, so when the right time comes, you are the best person for your partner.

I'm not saying you should be perfect since none of us can be perfect. Still, we should strive to be better people. We should allow ourselves to work on any struggles or issues that we may be facing before focusing on being in a relationship. I mean, if we want our future husband to be the best version of themselves, shouldn't we also want to be the very best for them?

So, to my single ladies, hang in there. The wait is not easy, but it's not insignificant. Use this time to get to know your Creator and His great love for you, while continuing to serve Him and others. And when you least expect it, he will come.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
