9 Things That Happen When You're The "Love Coach" Of Your Friend Group

We are deep into cuffing season. Everyone around you is suddenly in a relationship. One by one, your friends are being taken off the market. Love is in the air. Yet, you're still single. But, that doesn't mean you can't live vicariously through your friends, right? Except you actually have to because you're the go-to friend when it comes to relationship stuff!

Here are nine things that happen when you're the love coach of your friends:

1. You get screenshots of almost every conversation they have with their potential bae

Since day one, you have been part of this blooming relationship. You basically know everything that's going on. The potential bae has not even met you yet, but it already feels like you've known them for so long!

2. They show you potential bae's social media accounts, so you can approve of them

When you are the designated mom friend of the group, potential baes have to be approved by you first. Your friends' actual moms are the last ones to know, but you're always the first one.

3. And, they let you do some "research"

Some call it stalking, but really you're just gathering information from their social media accounts. It is one of the key parts of the approval process. Your friend (especially boys who do not understand how to properly do the research) might have missed something crucial! It's better to be safe than sorry, right?

4. They consult you first before they send a text

"What do I say?" "I don't know what to say!" "How do I reply?" And, you come to the rescue with five different replies your friend can send. But, that's not all. There's some revising that happens too. You have to make sure everything is worded perfectly before letting your friend send it.

5. They blow up your phone as they overthink and start freaking out

Your phone is so dry and next thing you know, it won't stop dinging. Text after text after text. You already know your friend is having a quick meltdown. They just need a moment to let it all out.

6. You hype them up and give them some motivational speech

Once they're done freaking out, you go in with some encouraging words to pick them up. You know you got to boost their confidence again. Before you know it, your friend is back at it again.

7. You help them think of ways to impress their crush

You throw every idea you can think of even if they are absolutely ridiculous. You even go on Pinterest to get more ideas.

8. They rely on you to give them the best advice even though you're THAT single friend

Your friends trust you with relationship stuff when everyone knows your love life is nonexistent. But, for some reason you always know how to help everyone with their relationship problems

9. You tolerate their sick puppy behavior

Even though you hate everything and anything that is lovey-dovey, you still support your friends. The stuff they do might usually make you cringe, but you have to do your best being a good friend.

If only the significant others of your friends know how involved you are, am I right? I mean, they are basically dating you too, anyway. Being single during this season isn't so bad when all your friends drag you into their relationships!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
